About me
Coming from a business background, I understand the challenges of life and the impact it can have on your well-being. As a working parent I also fully appreciate the challenges of maintaining a heathy work/life balance. This means you benefit from my broad experiences of issues such as work related stress, burnout, anxiety, grief and loss, bullying, low self-esteem and confidence, rejection, trauma, ill health and life transitions including parenting, career changes and menopause.
My values of fairness, respect and equity are incredibly important to me and reflected in my work. Down to earth, warm and relaxed, I offer a collaborative, non-judgmental and confidential space. I promise to always work in your best interest and promote your autonomy.
I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and committed to the ethical, non-discriminatory practices set out in BACP ethical Framework.
In my free time I seek nature and enjoy exploring our coastline and woodlands. It holds a restorative power that never ceases to amaze me.
Working together
I see counselling as a life changing journey. This is your journey. You are the expert of you. My approach is to meet you where you are and walk with you to where you want to be. Along the way we will discover areas of interest, I offer tools of exploration. We will always walk at your pace and only go where you want to go.
Trained in a number of different approaches, I tailor my approach to match your needs. Our time together is your time. You can share whatever you feel ready to explore, I promise to respect you without judgement.
Availability
My working hours are generally 10am-8 pm Monday , Weds, Thurs and Friday. I have some weekend availability.
Fees
My fee for an individual counselling session (50 minutes) is £45. Fees are paid weekly 24 hours in advance by bank transfer. If you are unable to make a session, please provide 24 hours of notice cancellation or the full fee will be charged. Typically, meetings are weekly.
I am a strong believer in the power of counselling and feel it should be accessible to everyone. I set aside a portion of my practice for those in need of lower fee slots. Please be aware there may be a waiting list.
Where I work
I work predominantly on-line via Zoom but can also offer face-to-face sessions in Thanet and Canterbury.
